In the age where greenwashing is beyond rife, can fashion brands actually create change beyond campaigning and empty promises for more sustainable operations?

I think we can. Relax, I'm not suggesting recycling polyesters...Been there, done that.

This Spring I’m teaming up with Sol Escobar fro Give Your Best UK, to prove that fashion brands have major role to play in changing popular narratives while directly improving women’s lives, regardless of their status and purchasing power.

Our joint #PowerOfGifting campaign centres around the work carried out by Give Your Best, a non-profit providing an online catalogue of donated clothes where women who are refugees, seeking asylum or destitute can ‘shop’ for free.

We’ve created a modern version of Pay forward initiative where we invite our customers and the general public to gift unused clothing directly to women in less fortunate situations, which deserve the autonomy, agency and dignity to choose donated clothes that fit their shape and personal style.

For incentive we are offering all women who gift clothing to the platform a 20% discount on any item in the Lora GENE collection and a complementary Lora Gene Beauty gift box.

The campaign will battle false notions like the idea that second-hand clothing is resold locally, while in actuality more then 70% is exported and used for profit. We will also aim to humanise fashion narratives alongside the ‘refugee crisis’ , by creating a connection between the women gifting their clothes and the women receiving them.

To Join the campaign and give your best, you would need to upload some of your choosen items HERE and fill the form HERE ,and we will send you a dicount code.

Thank you for joining and I hope when you realise the power of gifting, you will give your best.
